Someone passed along to me a website that showed me how to turn my songs into ringers for my phone, without having to pay extra for it. I was skeptical at first, thinking this is something that Apple would have prevented, but it worked!
I’d made a few of my own ringtones using a trial of this VERY easy, but not free, software so these weren’t my first custom ringtones. The first I made was a clip of this techno song by Owl City called The Tip of the Iceberg. Its a good ringtone, however what would make it better is if I could fade in & out like I could with the trial software. The next one I made was the beginning bars of the Oren Lavie’s Her Morning Elegance.
Perfect. Ringer. It doesn’t need to fade in & out – it’s perfect just the way it is.

Garageband, which comes on all macs does it. I went nutzo making them when I first got the iPhone ;p
